One thought I forgot on my previous blogg for a meaningful workout is that you set a goal that when you loose x number of pounds/inches (x not being the complete amount desired loss but rather a goal like 50 pounds or to get under a hundred pound mark that you are close to) that you reward yourself for achieving your goal. Make sure that the reward is something that you really want, put money aside so you can purchase it when you get to your goal. My current goal is to get below 300 my personal prize is a iPod nano. The reason why I want it is first it's a small mp3 that can be used as a watch. But it's also a tool that I can use as I workout.
Today's exercise was all about cardio:
1. Warm up on bike using the expresso speedway which is a 1 mile track
2. Core excercise on bike using the bent spoke track which is 4 miles long
3. Intncity exercise on bike using the expresso speedway making a new personal record of 3:03
4. Tried some aliptical but I was not liking it.
5. Then I did the 5's on the track (warm up walk 10 laps, then run 5 walk 5 alternating, then cool down walking 10 laps) for 2 miles walking, and 1 mile run.
A few more thoughts on exercise. First be sure to warm up before doing a physical exercyces, this includes doing some stretching, your body will thank you latter, also start the exercise off slow and speed up as you go. Second be sure you are drinking lots of water, because you are sweating a lot of water out, in addition it helps rinse toxins out of the body.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and keep exercising. W4TW

Morning blues
One of the hardest things that I find about putting together a meaningful workout is the time that you choose to use. I have been working out in the morning around 10 for the past four weeks. This nex week my life scedual is about to change and I am going to have to get up earler to work out, or do it later at night.
So what is a meaningful workout? I believe that there are several elements that stick out. First there needs to be a desire for improvement, there is no reason to workout without a goal, my goal is to look better and feel better. Second you need a motivational partner that is not always with you but is in the process of doing the same goal. Many times people will have a personal trainer to fill this role. Third you need some good music, I am surprised that music is important when working out. When you work out you need something that has a good beat, high powered, and something that you enjoy listing to, my personal music choice is Reliant K, I have tried other bands, but I always go back to Reliant K because it motivates me. Fourth when you are working out your goal in the workout is to do enough reps/laps where you feel like you can not go any further, then dig down deep and go further, the goal is to override your mind that is telling you to quit and in the process you extend your workout to benefit you more. They say that half of the work out is psychological. Fifth is an interesting one I have picked this idea up from watching several weight loss shows and that is you need to deal with the issues in the past that caused you to put the weight on, see help from a friend, clergy, or a therapist.
So get out there and workout.
These are just some introductory notes for my workouts, and for my blogging of my exercise program. Sharing the progress is the goal not only to help motivate me, but to also motivate those who are reading my blogg. Today's workout is the last one for this week.
Just some additional thoughts. This is also my band page W4 The Win (waiting for the win) it is still in the early stages of being a ban, and as time progresses I hope to post some of the bands work here.
I hope that everyone has a good workout and a good weekend!!! W4TW
